Dr Mehr

Dr Mehr trained at the Manchester University and qualified in 1994. He commenced his 5 year training in Radiology in 1998 at the West Midlands Radiology Specialist Training scheme. Finishing the training in 2003 he became an accredited Consultant Radiologist in the same year.

In addition to his general radiology experience he developed a specialist interest in musculoskeletal Radiology. During his training he spent long periods at the Royal Orthopedic Hospital Birmingham increasing his knowledge in bone and soft tissue tumours whilst being an early adopter and practitioner of musculoskeletal ultrasound. His imaging experience includes all bones and joints in the body as well as the spine. He is able to combine his knowledge of imaging using X-rays, Nuclear Medicine CT, MRI and ultrasound with good working relationships with orthopaedic and podiatry colleagues to provide accurate and relevant reports. He has experience reporting scans for and treating Premiership Football players.

In addition to the above work he has extensive experience in imaging chest, abdomen, pelvis and brain, using all the above modalities.

Dr Mehr holds an NHS Consultant post at the Heart of England Foundation Trust in Birmingham. He works privately at the Spire Hospital in Little Aston and Spire Parkway Hospital in Solihull.

Outside medicine he enjoys using modern technologies, cycling, DIY, general fitness training and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
